Abby is a Private Chef, Owns a Cooking School, Leads Culinary Adventures (Travel with Abby and Megan), works with women, men, kids, moms, dads, couples, partners, groups, charities, etc. Her passion is teaching, tasting, exploring, sharing. Abby loves private events and dinner parties, special events, milestone occasions, Galas! Last year, Abby and Richard created the DoMor for Cancer Research Gala and will make it happen, again, this year! Save the Date for 09-28-2024.
Abby Gray, 57, started her career on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Assistant & Director of Seminars for a political magazine. After 6 years in DC, Abby moved to New York City and began a 13+ year career as an Advertising Professional and Corporate Event Planner.
Wanting more time with her family in Boston, Abby retired from corporate life, and opened a charming gift boutique and events company. “Olivia Browning” was born in November 2008. Set up like a European Market, the store carried everything - from Gourmet to Baby to Tabletop - and all categories in between. Olivia Browning also featured weekly gourmet and store events, and a separate Events Planning Business. Abby’s driving passion, unifying her personal and professional life, is cooking. In 2014 she decided to close her store and go to culinary school - following her heart into the kitchen.
With a lifelong history of catering and entertaining professionally and privately, and her deep love to “feed the people”, Abby decided to create Cooking with Abby! To build her company from a formal grounding in culinary skills, Abby went back to college, and graduated from BU Culinary School after 500 hours of instruction. During that time, Abby learned from, and cooked with, Master Chef Jacques Pépin and many other amazing and talented chefs – taking something away every day for her clients, and learning so much from each encounter.
Abby has traveled extensively throughout the world seeking culinary adventures, and now partners with her dear friend, Chef Lorena Autuori to bring her clients to experience Lorena’s home region of Umbria and all of Italy. Abby and Megan also visit Daniela in Rome; and many other Chefs and “Cool People” throughout Italy and France.
